    Jovial Gluten Free Pasta Review

This is our honest Jovial Gluten Free Pasta Review. We were not paid to write this review, and all options are our own.

Today’s review of Jovial Gluten Free Pasta is part of our ‘BEST OF’ Gluten Free Pasta Series where we review many different brands of Gluten Free Pasta and rate them based on several factors. Once all of our Pasta Brands have been tested & scored, the brands will be ranked, with only one earning our ‘BEST OF’ Award.

    📝 About Jovial Foods

Reading about Carla and Rodolfo, the founders of Jovial Foods, is inspiring. Their dedication to their daughter's health drove them to create Gluten Free foods that would not only be healing, but taste good and bring the joy back to eating. They are a small family business, with all of their Gluten Free Pasta products being made in Italy.

😋 How is the Taste & Texture?

Overall, Jovial Gluten Free Pasta cooked up fantastically, it has great flavor, and the perfect al dente texture; it was easy to make and it paired well with our favorite pasta recipes.

🍳 Is it Easy to Make?

Jovial has 12 Varieties of Artisan Pastas. We tested three varieties of Jovial Gluten Free Pasta: Spaghetti; Penne; & Fusilli.

We cooked each Pasta according to the instructions on the packaging - bringing the water to a full boil before adding the pasta to cook.

It is important to note that Gluten Free Pasta cooks up a bit differently than traditional pasta, and must be watched closely to avoid under, or over-cooking. We highly recommend removing the pasta from the heat when the pasta is ‘al dente’ or slightly chewy when bitten. You may have to sample a noodle or two to make sure it's ready.

We removed the cooked pasta from the heat, and rinsed it under cold water to stop the cooking process. Gluten Free pastas often cook up very starchy and we found that rinsing it thoroughly produces the best results. Once all the water was drained well, we stirred in a tablespoon of Olive Oil to prevent it from sticking together.

    👩‍🍳 How to Use It?

At this point, you can use it 1 for 1 in all of your favorite pasta dishes. If you plan on cooking the pasta again (such as you would in a lasagna or casserole recipes), be sure to undercook the pasta by a couple of minutes, so it doesn’t fall apart or get mushy.

We use Jovial Pastas in all of our favorite recipes like Gluten Free Spaghetti, Gluten Free Lasagna & even Gluten Free Pasta Salad! Even the non-gluten free people, think it tastes great!

💵 How Much Does it Cost & Where Can I Buy It? 🛒

The average cost for a Box of Jovial Gluten Free Pasta is $3-$4 depending where you purchase it, and on the variety you choose. It’s available from several online retailers and in many conventional grocery stores.

Here is a list of Online Stores that carry Jovial:

    • Amazon
    • Jovial Foods Direct
    • Thrive Market (Best Price!)
    • Vitacost
    • Walmart

Many local grocery stores have began carrying Jovial Gluten Free Pasta... Although not all of the varieties may be locally available. You can also check their store locator to see who sells it near you.

🚫 Is it Safe for Celiacs & Other Food Sensitivities?

We recognize that Gluten Intolerances & Celiac Disease often come paired with other Food Sensitivities and Allergies, so we always do our best to warn you about other potential ingredients or cross-contaminations that might be present in the food we review.

According to their website & packaging, Jovial Gluten Free Pastas are made with 100% Certified Gluten Free Organic Brown Rice - Making it safe for those with Celiac Disease & Other Food Sensitivities.

The only Jovial Pasta variety that seems to have anything other than Brown Rice & Water is the Egg Tagliatelle, which has Organic Eggs in it.

    👍 Overal Score?

After trying nearly every brand and variation of Gluten Free Pasta, we've awarded Jovial a solid 9.5 out of 10, giving it one of our highest scores for Gluten Free Pasta. In our opinion, it is hands down, 🏆The BEST Gluten Free Pasta we have ever tasted.
