😋 How Does it Taste?
After trying nearly every brand and variation of Gluten Free Pasta, we have been using Jovial Foods Gluten Free Pasta exclusively in our Kitchen for nearly 3 years. In our opinion, it is hands down, 🏆The BEST Gluten Free Pasta we have ever tasted. It has excellent flavor, doesn’t cook up mushy, and has just the right texture you’d find in a regular pasta.
We use Jovial Pastas in all of our favorite recipes like Gluten Free Spaghetti, Gluten Free Lasagna & even Gluten Free Pasta Salad! Even the non-gluten free people, think it tastes great!
💵 How Much Does it Cost & Where Can I Buy It? 🛒
The average cost for a box of Jovial Gluten Free Pasta ranges from $3.29 to $4.99 depending on what variety you choose and where you buy it. Here is a list of Online Stores that carry Jovial:
- Jovial Foods Direct (Orders of $25 or more ship free)
- Thrive Market (Best Price – Annual Membership Required)
As it becomes more popular, many local grocery stores have began carrying Jovial Gluten Free Pastas… Although not all of the varieties may be locally available. You can also check their store locator to see who sells it near you.
👩🍳 How to Use It?
Jovial comes as close to perfection as we tasted so far and you can use it 1 for 1 in all of your favorite Pasta recipes.
Like all Gluten Free food, Jovial Pasta is not without its caveats… it can get too soft if its overcooked. In our experience, it turns out best when you cook if for slightly less time than suggested on the box – Even more so when it needs to be added to a recipe, such as a lasagna or casserole, where you are baking the dish a second time.
We stop boiling our Jovial Gluten Free Pasta when the noodles are ‘al dente’, or just a bit chewy. By the time you pull the pot off the stovetop and drain/rinse and add sauce to your pasta, it will be perfect. The water will be very starchy and you will need to rinse your pasta well… Both to rinse the starch off and stop the cooking process. We then add in a couple of Tablespoons of Olive Oil to the noodles to prevent them from sticking together.
🚫 Other Allergens?
We recognize that Gluten Intolerances & Celiac Disease often come paired with other Food Sensitivities and Allergies, so we always do our best to warn you about other potential ingredients or cross-contaminations that might be present in the food we review.
According to their website & packaging, Jovial Foods states that all of their Gluten Free Pastas are:
- Made exclusively with Italian grown 100% organic brown rice.
- Made in a dedicated gluten free facility.
- Certified gluten free at less than 10PPM
The only Jovial Pasta variety that seems to have anything other than Brown Rice & Water is the Egg Tagliatelle, which has Organic Eggs in it.
